Keeping match fit..

I've just transcribed a track into standard notation for the first time in about 6 months and it's taken me bloody ages.
It's certainly not particularly tricky or complex but I've done the whole track and I'm surprised and quite shocked by how long it took and how much I had to concentrate as opposed to how long I thought it would take based on the previous hundreds of songs I've done before.

Oh well, it looks like I've let that slip a bit so I'm going to spend a bit more effort getting that skill back up to speed again - no doubt at the cost of another key technique or skill that I won't have time to practice instead and I'll have a similar issue again soon!
