Dom in Dorset Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) And a rather massive guilty pleasure! I just love the enormity of it when it get's going. I just can't see any likelyhood that circumstances/need/appropriate musicians/opportunity will ever come along. mikeh Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I'd love to do pink Floyd's 'One of these day's' live. Always have the patches setup on any effect pedal I own, but as of yet not been in the right band to do it. Quote
Len_derby Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Good Morning Little Schoolgirl. A brilliant riff, but a complete no-no to play live. Particularly as one of my jobs is working in a junior school... Quote

bagsieblue Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Don't Damn Me - Guns 'n Roses, something about that song that does things to me. Never found anyone else capable of pulling off the main riff though..... Quote
risingson Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 This, in its entirety, at the most rundown, smallest pub we could possibly get a gig at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz8iEJeh26E Quote

Lord Sausage Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 It would be the No Quarter version of Kashmir Quote
Mudpup Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 A Queensryche song like I Dont Believe in Love or maybe Breaking the Silence from Operation Mindcrime. Or maybe something from Empire. Eddie Jackson is my all time fave bass player mainly because of those 2 albums - what a gritty tone! Quote

[/quote] Got to agree - always wanted to play a Queensryche number back when I was in a metal band, but never came to fruition as none of the blokes in the band ever bothered to listen to them and see what terrific songs they wrote I'd have gone with something off the first EP, like Nightrider - the Mindcrime material's easily my favourite of theirs, but IMO works best when the album's played in full. Always wanted to play One Way by the Levellers as well, but can't see myself ever being in the right band for it. Shame, as it's an amazing song. Quote
