TorVic
PM sent. The colour of the wood on the back of the neck, near the head, looks darker. Is this a natural wood colouration or some blemish?
Grangur
PM sent. The colour of the wood on the back of the neck, near the head, looks darker. Is this a natural wood colouration or some blemish?
It looks to me like 23 years of dirty hands, especially being up near the 3rd fret. You can clean this up with some "Boiled Linseed oil" and white vinegar mixed and rub gently over the wood with a soft cloth. If you hunt about or contact a furniture polishing specialist you can buy specialist wood cleaning fluid, but the linseed and vinegar will do it. After you've finished, re-oil the wood with "Boiled Linseed oil". It will then look like new. Edited January 31, 2013 by Grangur
Isaaclefunkymakak
Thanks Grangur, you're right, it's just because dirty hands of the previous owner ! And don't forget it's a 23 years old instrument, it's not mint but it still in great condition for this age. I correct the weight of this bass, it's 4Kg, sorry for the mistake (It's my old 1983 cherrywood streamer which is the lighter bass I ever had, 3.6kg):

Truckstop
I don't normally like the look of Warwicks, but this one has a very pleasing simplicity about it that's hard to not like. I also really like the black and gold truss rod cover; looks smart. GLWTS! Truckstop
