niceguyhomer Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I have this bass with a white pearl scratchplate and I love it to bits (like all the basses I've owned). Problem is I have severe P Bass lust and I'm trying to distract myself by fiddling with my instrument. Jorge at Clover has quoted £47 to have a custom made tort plate but I can't make my mind up if I like it better than the white one. Waddya think?
Snort! Whadoo I think? I think you should have The Bass Doc make you a black/white/black three-ply guard. Pure class. If you really don't like that idea the other alternative is mint/black/mint... Well pervy!! Edited January 31, 2013 by discreet Quote
charic Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I think blue pearl would look brilliant on that bass! Quote
KiOgon Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Personally - I love tort & I love pearl - there's only one way to sort this - - Fight --! But seriously think the tort goes with rosewood & not with the colour fretboard above, Cheerz, John Quote
niceguyhomer Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 Well pervy indeed - it looks great on a vintage bass but will it look as good on one like mine? I dunno... White/black/maple is a timeless combination. Edited January 31, 2013 by discreet Quote

BassBunny Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Red Pearl or Black Pearl for me. And another shout out for Bass Doc. I've seen some of his scratchplates and they are really good Quote
discreet Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 (edited)
Like this?
Sweet! Like that a lot. The monochrome look really suits your bass. Very clean and classy. Edit: And it matches the truss rod cover! Cohesive! Integrated! Nubile! Edited January 31, 2013 by discreet Quote
