Hi All,

I'm new to this site. I've recently acquired 2 nice pieces of Alder and want to have a go a making a Jazz Bass from the early 1960's.

Anyone out there know of a source for an accurate blue print so I can make some templates?

Or if anyone local has one that I can measure, I'd be very greatful. I'm based near Hinckley Leicestershire

Look forward to hearing from someone.

There are a quite a few build threads on tdpri which sometimes include links to diagrams, e.g:

The Jazz bass PDF in that second link looks pretty accurate but I guess you may still need to compare with the real thing.

You might also want to consider some ready made templates - from what I've read those from Ron Kirn seem well regarded but I've not (yet) tried them myself.

Good luck with the build - you'll need to post a build thread with pics! :)
