SlapbassSteve Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 I really like the natural one, although it does look just like a Teisco/Top Twenty skip-outside-your-house special... there's NO WAY I'd be willing to pay that much for one, but then Gibsons are stupidly expensive across the board tbf. The Epiphone guitars selling around the £400-500 mark are much better made then modern Gibsons selling for over twice as much in my (limited) experience.
stoker Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) I quite like it. Would prefer it with a Bigsby though. Edited March 7, 2013 by stoker
Stroopy121 Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013
I think that black one in the OP loks awful, but I love the body shape!

That's a beauty IMHO.

I'd rather have the option for a P90 in the bridge and FA in the neck, but otherwise I'd happily have one (if it wasn't a grand a pop!)

xx
I'd happily play one... but not at $2000...
MiltyG565 Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 I like the modern F holes, which aren't F's at all, they are just squiggly lines, with the little bridge lines in the exact right location, so they actually serve their purpose
chrismuzz Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 Not too bad, but the one in the OP does look like a toy. And the whammy bars just look stupid.

Bassection Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 The shape's not bad, but the finishes turn me off a little.
Junkyard Rocket Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 Looks like a double-cut version of the nighthawk shape.
geoffbyrne Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I'm a bit surprised no one has commented on its similarity to a Westone Thunder. G.
Ancient Mariner Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Most posters here may be too young to remember.
Phil Adams Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013 I think Mel Gibson designed that one. Without that whammy bar it'd be ok.
Definitely Also, I'm not a huge Gibson fan, but I think this new one looks pretty cool, and I think that's what they are aiming for, to be the cool brand again. There's only so long the 60's and 70's kids can keep them in business
steve-bbb Posted May 19, 2013 Posted May 19, 2013
I wonder if they will lower the action to a gnats c*ck level
i would prefer my cock to be covered in gnats than buy one of these
