battered charvel
can anyone help me? i have dimarzio split p pick up in my old charvel, which i've had for 16 years, i've not played for a while, and need it re wiring, it used to have active circuitry, but i only have the pick ups, can anyone reconmend either a place to buy new active circuits from or the components i need to get, my bass did have a j pick up but i not got one at the moment, but i may want to add one at a later date, so wiring would have to be able to accomodate this. any help would be gratefull. thanks, battered charvel
CHRISDABASS
Hey! I'd suggest you take a look here http://www.east-uk.com John does some fantastic circuits and if you go for something like the spm 02 its quite cost effective and very versitile! Hope that helps Cheers Chris
iiipopes
I've had a DiMarzio Split-P. It doesn't need a preamp. It was designed as a drop-in for a standard Precision pickup. Just wire it conventionally and it should be just fine. And if you want to add a J-bridge pickup later, it matches particularly well with a DiMarzio UltraJazz bridge pickup in standard V-V-T P-J wiring: http://www.dimarzio...._std_series.pdf http://www.dimarzio.com/pickups/bass Edited February 3, 2013 by iiipopes
