Lee Carter Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Hi, This was the first bass I ever bought and I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on it's make/model...history. It was bought for me in 1990 for my 18th Birthday, the only marking on it is the CL (LC?) markings on the headstock. Any info gratefully received Quote

Lee Carter Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 I wish, I guess that's why it was bought for me...many years ago now Quote
The Burpster Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 (edited) It's an Ovation for sure, but not sure which model. It looks like a fore runner of the Viper that I had.... Or a copy thereof.... Edited February 4, 2013 by The Burpster Quote
el borracho Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 I think it's a Clarissa - they were Italian made if my memory is right. Quote
Rick's Fine '52 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Ovation/Celebrity copy. don't know the maker though? There was a company from Germany knocking these out a few years back?? Quote
KevB Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Unusual tuner arrangement, commonly these types have 2 on each side like the genuine Ovations, not sure I've seen a '3+1' on these type of designs before. Quote
Lee Carter Posted February 4, 2013 Author Posted February 4, 2013 Getting closer, thanks el borracho Calrissa has set me on a google hunt. Quote
