I'm looking for a Wal Pro 1E (preferably) as I sold the one I used to have some 12 years ago to a bass player from the Wakefield area, Mick Close, I think he was called. It was in red and the serial number was PB1151 - anybody seen or heard of it ? Update: January 2008 - bought PJB Suitcase combo so now have two workable rigs. I've also found a Wal Pro 1 passive bass - I think I now have everything I ever wanted (except Nigella Lawson). Rhino. Telebass
Hi Rhino, Nice gear list, and the first time ever I've heard of anyone but me using an AC50 head for bass. Bloody good it was, too! And the Bassman 50/2x15 is one of the best rigs I've ever heard if you like it big and deep. Although these days, it would barely make a good bedroom rig! Although these days, it would barely make a good bedroom rig![/quote] Hi Telebass, Yeah, the AC50 through my Wallace 2 x 18" cab was impressive, in fact whilst I was working in Italy during 1969, a local bass player offered to exchange his black front Bassman amp and two cabinets for the Vox /Wallace rig. I was talked out of the deal by our guitarist, (tsk, tsk,) who said that the voltage difference would mean that it was unusable in the UK. A better version of the Vox/Wallace combination was using a friend's black face Showman amp (85 watts) but he wouldn't swap the Vox for the Fender. He still has the Fender. (tight Yorkshireman). Cheers, Rhino
