Zenitram
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/precision-bass-body-blue-/230921615345?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item35c40037f1 This is reasonably local, and I thought I might offer 20 quid for it, as something to sand down. The blurb says it's quite light -- I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Any thoughts either way, you folk who know about things, and stuff? throwoff
I would guess Encore just on the shade of blue, looks just like one of theirs.
Zenitram
So... worth 20 quid or so? I don't know about these things.
Rumple
Depends if the neck pocket is a standard Fender size? if it is then it would be easy to find a neck to fit it but a pain if it's an odd size and you need to get a bespoke neck made. Zenitram
That's a good point! I just made an offer of 15 quid, and if it gets rejected or ignored I'll just leave it be. I was reading somewhere that in the old days (whenever that was) Encore made basses with the exact dimensions and specs as Fenders... though that could be phooey, this might be an Encore from a different period, it might not be an Encore, it could be made of balsa wood, blah blah. Thanks people.
brensabre79
Depends what you want to do with it. I doubt it will be an exact fit for a Fender neck, but if you find an Encore neck it could fit. or you could have a go at it with some powertools
Lee Carter
If you're after a body, I have a black P body sitting somewhere in the garage. It's from a no name, but I can dig it out and measure the neck pocket if you are after one.

Zenitram
Seller not impressed with offer of £15. Unsurprisingly.
Dave D
That body has been listed before, I'm certain. Maybe he's got a stash!
Delberthot
I could sell you an as new Westfield precison with the film still on the scratchplate for £70 delivered. Can't believe that an unloaded, unknown body sold for £
