blackparkas Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 My band Trail of Murder with singer Urban Breed (it´s actually his real name, it´s just not pronounced the same as it looks in english...) (ex. Tad Morose/Ex. Bloodbound) and drummer Pelle Åkerlind (Morgana Lefay) and Danne Olsson (ex. Tad Morose), don´t know if you know these bands, they where touring Europe and the states a while ago, Bloodbound still are.. but anyway. We´re looking for gigs in may/june, preferably in the UK but we might be able to do something somewhere else as well, trying to put up a small tour. Anyone got any info on where to turn in the UK where Metal is welcomed and who has live bands or maybe a festival in may/june? How is the rock/metalscene in London nowadays? If you have a club nearby in another part of Europe (or rest of the world), I´d be thrilled if you would like to share it and maybe a contact. We´re going to Sofia/Bulgaria in May so gigs along the way down there would be superb as well so if you have any tips for venues/clubs in Europe... Link to our album on Spotify: Trail Of Murder – Shades of Art The albumreviews has been superb all over. Cheers! Quote

grunge666 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 There's The Slade Rooms in Wolverhampton, The Robin 2 in Bilston and Kerrang Radio put unsigned bands on as Birmingham's O2 Academy. I think these are run by promoters .......... worth a Google! Quote

Big_Stu Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 +1 for the Robin in Bilston; gigs almost 7 nights a week, mostly rock & blues based. Great venue for crowds, I've never seen any trouble there & it's on the edge of the Black Country/B'ham based HM fans. Changing room could be better, but there are many worse. http://www.therobin.co.uk/default.asp Quote
MarkWJenkins Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 The Masons in Llanelli, South Wales is a cracking little rock/metal venue.. Not that big, but always a crowd! PM me if you want contact details, its also my local hahaa!! Quote

blackparkas Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 Cheers guys! I´ll contact the places that seems fit for our little metalband from the heart of Sweden.. Keep 'em coming! Is metal dead in London? We´re not unsigned, and most of the members has been around for decades touring Europe and the US. This band is new though, so until the next album, we´re trying to do as much as we can ourselves. Quote

It was a good gig, but somebody had been sick in the staff toilets before we got there so all I could smell was vomit while we played Quote
