Ashdown DP-200 200W Valve Head

I would like to try one of these but can't find one anywhere. I've emailed Ashdown but had no response so far.
So, Anyone got one. Is it good?

Any info much appreciated.

It has the same preamp as my Spyder 550, which I absolutely love. I imagine that those 4 KT88's can only make it even better. I'm really tempted to get one of these babies too.

Can't help with the amp, but can verify that Ashdown's email inbox is the online equivalent to a black hole.

EH - Does it do valve overdrive sounds can you tell me and is it 'mild' or 'wild' distortion out of it can you tell me?

Hey! I don't think the preamp has been designed for overdriven sounds. My Spyder still sounds clean with the gain up 'till 3 o'clock. It still doesn't distort after that, I just don't like the way it sounds. I use a passive Fender P by the way.

[indent=1]I'm not sure the pre-amp is the same as the Spyder 550 (which has 1 x ECC83 & 1 x ECC81). And, yes, my Spyder 550 does not OD at all.[/indent]

I'm pretty sure the preamp section in the Drophead model is closer to the Little Bastard (2 x ECC83, 1 x ECC81) than the Spyder.

Yeah, I think I got confused here. I think the Spyder has the same preamp as the Small Block 427.
