I don't understand why anyone would feel guilty or embarrassed about such a thing.
Spot on, i was embarrassed at liking certain records when I was younger but now don't give damn what people think, I like it because I like it. Uriah Heep - Top band, absolutely lover the Byron era especially when Gary Thain was the Bass player.

karlfer
So reading between the lines SteveK was in The Rubettes? Respect!! with no piss taking. I seem to remember they were all proper session musos and the harmonies were the Poodles Privates.
icastle
Have I wandered into the wrong forum by mistake? KingBollock
I'll openly admit that I think that there's some cracking Jonas Brothers tracks. World War 3 Hey Baby Burnin' Up is a personal favourite
Mandy Lion's WWIII? I have the first album and it's great! Love the second one too but have never got around to buying it. First discovered him on a Metal Hammer cover cassette in 1991 that had Love You To Death on it. I've never spoken to anyone who has even heard of him before. BassTractor
Same here: no guilt and no embarrassment, but I should be able to find some bands that some people wouldn't understand my love for. OK, how about the following three bands: Ekseption, Sex Pistols, Spice Girls (first album), Carpenters. uh ... I'll come in again. best, bert

WhoNeedsYou
Oh, there was once a band called north & south who I really liked when I was at school. There are several "where are they now" stories I followed up & have the guitarist on my Facebook list, he still plays but doesn't have luminous hair anymore! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cH8IeqSmZNM&feature=youtube_gdata_player A clip of them at their cheesiest! SteveK
I thought SteveK played with MM's Earthband....or was this previously ?
You're correct - Started with MMEB in '85. From '87-'91 Manfred locked himself in the studio, and for those 4 years I found myself with The Rubettes. The Earth Band resumed in '91 and continues to this day.
