danthevan Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Just had a rehearsal only to hear my trusty old dog of a rig was farting popping and cutting out. Traced it down to a floppy jack socket on the cab. Got a decent cable (from the guy on here who does the big fat homemade leads) and now need a decent jack socket. Fitting doesn't matter, if I have to cut a 9" hole in the back of it to fit it, then so be it! Any decent make ones out there which will withstand the beating it takes and the heavy cable hanging out the back of it? Cheers in advance Quote
JapanAxe Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Speakon. Obviously you'll then need another cable (same guy does speakon-to-jack leads), but honestly you'll never look back! Quote

flyfisher Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Agreed. If you really, really, really, insist on fitting a new jack socket then I'd suggest that Neutrik would be as good as any, but the speakon suggestion above is by far the best way to go. Quote

Speakon is the way to go. Audiospares is your friend here. They will have back panels and sockets at reasonable prices. Quote
