It is basically two hotcakes in one housing, each voiced slightly differently. I became fed up with being given such crap DI boxes in venues, that distorted my sound, so i bought a decent one. Never thought of putting it between the head and cab, sound like a good idea for valve amps. Considering your bass is 99% of the time DI'd, so it's what the crowd are hearing out front and not the amp, i'm suprised more bass players aren't more into their DI's? The ones fitted in most amps are normally a bit cheap and nasty.
