Pbassred
Since I can't find any evidence of anyone in the world doing It, I am tempted to fit one of these:- http://www.markbass.it/product_detail.php?id=153 Into my Littlemark800 tube - just to see what happens. The scientist in me wants to record the difference(?) for posterity. Does anyone have any suggestions for tests? - I don't mean take it to a gig. I mean something more measurable. brensabre79
Record a bit of your bass playing, clean, and straight into the desk (no amp, or anything). Play it back through the head and record the result. Then make the change, and play the original recording through it again, all settings the same and you can analyze the results. Some people just play the same bassline twice, but then the inconsistencies in the two performances make analysis harder.
brensabre79
Although my first question would be why do they not have a Pro DI out in the first place? For the prices Markbass amps go for I would expect it to be included!
Pbassred
Not to hijack my own thread, but ...yeah. I can see that there is a cost issue involved in fitting an audio transformer as standard, but it would be cheaper than making a completely new circuit board. I also have a teensy concern about how well the circuit board stays in place inside the amp in a rock and roll world. but that's part of the investigation I suppose. ( just spent today drop-testing electronic equipment).

Pbassred
Well its on order. I don't know how long it will be until they ship. Knowing MY luck they don't actually have any.
bertbass
Wow, selling a super DI upgrade that should have been in the amp in the first place. That's brilliant marketing.
paul_5
you wouldn't get that sort of behaviour from Behringer now, would you?
bertbass
Of course you wouldn't, someone else would have to make it first.
