Love this song and trying to learn the bassline anyone know of any tabs? There is a great clip on youtube with this man sat infront of all these masks playing this really well but I think I need some tabs or transcription any ideas?

I think it would be difficult to find tablature for this one , to be honest - it's a bit too obscure to modern audiences . I have seen the clip you mention and the chap does a superb job , and watching him play this song made me realise what an intricate part it is when you play it as accurately as he does .

There is chords for the song on Ultimate guitar but I don`t know if they are correct but if they are you could fashion a bass line of your own from it?

The main bit of the verse goes something like E - G - D but they are lots of fills in there. I would just play your own version as I doubt anyone would notice as it is not a well know track. Have fun!

"Deputy Pwime Minister, what is your wesponse to this weport?"

There aren't too many current affairs programmes that have got me interested in a band - great song and fun to play along with. I love the drums on that bit.

The 70's DID absolutely rock. I was there for a lot of it. Such a great decade, let's not forget...

Garry Glitter, Jeremy Thorpe, Jimmy Savile, James Callaghan, Richard Nixon, Ted Bundy, Margaret Thatcher, Jimmy Carter, Pol Pot, The C@740713 C4(£5h, Brian Walden, Raymond Baxter.

Weekend World aside , this thread has reminded me just how grim television was on a Sunday back in the 1970s . There was mainly religious programmes of one kind or another on for most of the day on all three channels . It was dreary beyond belief , unless you had a thing for Thora Hird ( I didn't ) . Wasn't part of Nantucket Sleighride used for World In Action , too ? That was on ITV on Monday nights at about 8 o'clock . Mondays were grim , too .

Sunday was great for TV. CHiPs used to be on in the afternoon just before The Big Match. What more could anyone want?

I dreaded Sunday evenings. Jeez, from about 5pm on it was purgatory! Religious programmes and un-funny sh*t like Dad's Army and weird music shows with acapella groups ( the Swingle Singers) and tawdry folk acts. Grim indeed!

Didn't 'The World At War' go out on a Sunday? unmissable at the time and another suberb theme.

It would be miraculous if he was...
There was a good article about Mountain, Leslie West, Nantucket Sleighride, Felix and his (sounds like a nightmare) wife a few issues back in Classic Rock magazine.
