OmeDunk Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 (edited) Sold through dutch bass forum. Pricedrop for one of the few (the only?) ACG Grafts with filter preamp! Get yourself a great bass for a great price if you:

want to know where all the ACG fuzz is about
play a factory bass and would like to know how it is to play a handbuilt instrument of impeccable craftmanship
would like to try a five string bass
and without taking the chance to lose loads of money if you decide to sell it though. Mint condition (9.5/10) ACG Graft Gallas 5 string, including the famous filter preamp. Bought this a year ago from fellow BC-er Greeneking. Just to experiment how a fiver would work for me. So it turns out that I like to play 5 strings, but I like basses passive and with a 19mm spacing. So that is why I am selling this. This bass plays like a dream, very low action is possible. Also the assymmetric neck carve plays very naturally. So this price makes it possible for any buyer to do like I did a year ago and try an ACG out! The price is [s]650[/s] 620 euro (approx [s]560[/s] 535 GBP). Shipping will be 20 GBP (insured to 520 euro, 50 euro own risk) or around the 40 GBP mark (fully insured). The bass will be shipped in a old and worn hard case. Location of the bass: The Netherlands. Trades? A four string ACG would be nice! As said; pristine condition. Only 1 small ding at the back of the bass and a little scratch on the upper horn (both pictured). Some specs: Neck 5 string, 35" scale Bolt on 24 fret Rosewood board zero radius alloy side dots. 3 piece Maple neck with dual action trussrod. Asymmetric neck carve. Body Alder with black limba top Hardware Hipshot bridge Type B spacing 18mm. Gotoh GB7 tuners. ACG Custom FB humbucker. Hipshot string tree. ACG EQ02 3K/S filter preamp Uploaded with ImageShack.us Edited March 6, 2013 by OmeDunk

giblett123 Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 The grafts are cracking good basses and this is a monumental bargain, 650 euros for custom built 5? absolute steal at this price!
GreeneKing Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 A great piece of woody Scottish mastery and a great guy to buy from. Peter
OmeDunk Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 Thanks gents, this is indeed a great bass. the filter preamp makes you sound as Marcus or a dub artist. Stingray sounds are also possible. I bought this from Peter to try a fiver and to play an ACG. Not unlikely that I will own a 4 string ACG in the future. The graft range brings you unbelievable value for money.
topo morto Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Any clue on what the shipping costs would be?
OmeDunk Posted February 17, 2013 Author Posted February 17, 2013 (edited) Shipping costs? I checked the dutch forum. Lots of people use a courier company that ships the bass to the UK for around 20 gbp. Insured to the amount of 520 euro. 50 euro own risk. Good results. Never any problems of damages. Fully insured will probably be around 40 gbp, but I will have to do a bit more desk research to be sure. Edited the OP. Edited February 17, 2013 by OmeDunk
topo morto Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Sounds pretty decent. I guess for me it's more "I want it" than "It's what I want" but knowing the exact price makes it easier to imagine pressing the 'buy' button...
rednose200 Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 As the owner of Gallas No 1 (No 65 on the ACG gallery) I can assure you all that these play and balance perfectly. Price is reasonable for a bass of this quality too. Come on fellas - somebody should snap this up. Top gear for the price of a crap fender.
OmeDunk Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Bump for this great example of craftsmanship.
OmeDunk Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 (edited) Up it goes Trade option added: an ACG 4 string. Edited February 20, 2013 by OmeDunk
