Gear; double bass dated 23/8/38 62 reissue jazz bass hofner violin bass "jack casady" bass Trace Elliot amps I know this seems mercenary but its time to sell my trace elliot v8 amp Any Idea what these sell for as they do not seem ot come up very often? [/quote] Welcome to basschat, After a quick check those amps are rare, found an old list with one going for just under £3000!! Another had one for 1250euros so feck knows now. A more detailed google might give you a better idea, but as some basschaters always say it's just worth what someone Is willing to pay for It. Clear as mud. Cheers Leen. Quote
leadubblebass Posted February 15, 2013 Author Posted February 15, 2013 Hi, Steve bbb has set me thinking- As far as I am aware the word "funk" started out as slang for the odour of the "lady area" and ends up as a genre of music! Then again rock n roll started out as slang for having sex, and ended up as a genre of music........................................... More in common then you thing? Quote
discreet Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 (edited) Good points. I wonder if that's how 'country' got its name? Edited February 15, 2013 by discreet Quote
