Harrythebassdawg
Hi guys, I am parting with my trusty American Standard P-bass, in favour of owning a Jazz for the first time! I seem to be playing my Sadowsky more than anything else right now, so my precision has taken a back seat. And as this is the case, I'm thinking of swapping it for a Jazz, as I've not had one before, and I think it's about time! It's sunburst w/Rosewood, and was made around 1999/2000. I currently has a tortoise shell guard, and I will also include it's original white one. It has the original Fender hardcase, and Fender trussrod key It plays very well. It does have some small dinks, which I shall document via the photos. But they don't affect its function or play-ability in the slightest, and nothing you wouldn't expect on most used fenders! Anyway, I'd trade for a USA jazz, ideally white, black, or maybe a sunburst. I have to put a trade value right? £600?...but I'm not after a sale I'm afraid, just a trade. fermented grooves
I have a 3TS US Jazz with S1 switch listed here, BUT, I am in London...
Harrythebassdawg
Yes I'm in London, Stoke Newington to be precise. I've always been slightly wary of the s1 switch, as I'm really just after the passive jazz sound. But maybe that's just ignorance on my behalf. Where in london are you based? karlfer
Don't use the S1 switch. Just a normal passive Fender without it on!
fermented grooves
It's a passive Jazz bass, the S1 switch is a God send and has NOTHING to do with active circuits, it simply routes the PUs in series or parallel, nothing more. The bass is definitely not active. I am in East London. Edited February 16, 2013 by fermented grooves
Harrythebassdawg
Haha, ok. I would be interested in the jazz, i just thought the s1 was an active switch..my mistake! Anyway no worries if you dont want a trade, im not in a huge rush. But let me know if you change your mind.
