Wilkinson tuners / machine heads

I'm looking for some new machine heads / tuners for my BB300. Looking for open backed P-bass type. Fore-runners are Grover and Gotoh but, I've seen Wilkinson sets on eBay at a reasonable cost and wondered if anyone had any experience of them.

IIRC the vintage style ones may protrude above the headstock at the G end by about a mm or so. Other than that I found them to be good weigth and did the job ok.

I have a set of Wilkinsons on my CIJ Precision (different shape to the BB300 so can't comment on fit) - they are very good quality with a smooth positive action. Yup, like 'em.

I've got a set of the jumbo vintage style on my Mex Jazz and i really think they are good especially for the price - £25(?) fitted fine - just- They look good and are nice & smooth. Recommended.

My experiences with Wilkinson kit have all been good.

Ditto the comments above. Have had two Vintage V4s with Wilko tuners and they are solid, smooth and a nice ratio. Also replaced some crap ones on an SX bass with some - in another league completely. Recommended.

Same as above, had a set put on my jazz about 3 years ago and have had no problems at all.

NOS schallers,can,t go wrong,got a set off fleabag for buttons still in box-quality
These replaced wilkinson ones which were fine-I just liked the yellowing colour of old chrome ones which went better with a maple neck.
