For sheer wow factor, [i]Classical Thump[/i] is hard to beat. Because it looks fantastic and sounds amazing. I tend to find that even in the opening few bars, when you are hitting the open strings and hammering on the melody notes, even without double thumbing, makes most people get up and look. It has so much class, mainly because it's not just 'look at me' stuff, it's a beautiful tune.

Also the keyboard intro to Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds which my teacher showed me how to do in bass.

Not that my friends want to listen either , but I strap them to a chair and play at them till they beg for mercy :D

I have never seen that Guy Pratt clip - has to be one of nicest, funniest clips about bass playing I have ever watched. Lovely story (he was obviously moved when recounting the tale), humour, nice little bit of playing. Thanks for that link.
