I bought this here only last December - briefly; I had an offer out of the blue to dep through Xmas / new year gigs, my one and only amp (Mesa Walkabout) decided to die at the first rehearsal, so not having time to sort it in time for the first gig I had to get another amp head double-quick.

This seemed like a really good deal, because it is.
USA-made, 350W into 4 ohm (but will run down to 2 ohm), valve preamp stage, 3-band active EQ with variable midrange, aural enhancer, footswitchable sub-octave generator, switch-able compressor/limiter, variable-level DI, FX blend control, really smart polished-alloy front - full specs in manual here: http://support.swram...dfs/350x_om.PDF

Christophano, who I had this from, bought it new and never gigged it. I only gigged it though December, (using the DI, so only running output at a low level for stage monitoring) and was hugely impressed - clear, warm, valve-y sound, bags of power, totally straightforward to use, and the sub-wave generator is fab; left on at low level it adds a nice 8-string depth and fatness to the sound.
I'd love to keep as a backup, but I've got the Mesa sorted now, not gigging at the moment, and am buying a Gibson mandolin so promised the missus it's "one-in-one-out"....

Virtually as-new, with manual etc, only noticeable issue is a slight bend to one of the lower corners of the front, where I'm guessing the mounting screw was overtightened (pictured) - only visible if you look close and I'm sure could be straightened.

Housed from new in a really sturdy SKB standard 2u case in excellent nick, these alone go for the £160 mark: http://www.trifibre....CFcbKtAodNXUALQ

A bargainaceous £190 posted, or collected for less from Swansea area.

Very tempted! I almost bought this over my gk rb400. I now have the RB400 and RB700 so flogging the 400. The downside of these GK's is that they won't go down to 2ohm. As I have 2 4ohm cabs its not ideal!

Thanks for the good words guys, reviews always seem to be good for these heads

Forgot to say this was bought new in 2011, and (rather irritatingly) the band reckoned it was the coolest-looking amp I've ever had.......
