I've decided to thin the heard a little this year and deciding what to keep and what to let go has been a tough time.
First up is my beautiful natural Bb614 in excellent condition. I had this from Machines about five or six years ago and it hasn't been gigged in that time. I have changed the bridge for a Gotoh and the knobs for TRB style ones (I do have the original knobs but not the bridge) and it has a more substantial string retainer on it. £200 plus postage inc hard case.

Next up, my 1990 Bb300 NOW SOLD

At the risk of coming across as a rabid fanboy, I have owned and played both of these types of basses and I can honestly say that you won't be disappointed with either, especially at these prices. Will knock spots off anything you could buy new for the same money.

Thanks Matt, they are great basses and I'm only letting them go because the 1024 gets all the play time. I never set out to be a collector but you know how it is, you kinda get attached to the things & before you know it you have a fleet.

That's not all the prestige - I stopped the 300 becoming a 350 by buying the bridge pickup that was intended for it to put back in the 450 it came from. That's my involvement in this story ;)

I'd willingly have it back, hindsight taught me how good it was. Alas just bought a new combo and not sold my old one to pay for it.

I know I'll regret letting it go,but the 1024 just beats it tone wise.
