Pete1967
I guess we've all been there. You make a trip back to visit your parents and you Mum says... "When are you going to take all that stuff in the loft?" "Mum, I left home over twenty five years ago - I don't need it" "Well it's cluttering up the loft - can you take any of it?" "I don't have a clue what's there" "Can you go and have a look" "Oh - OK!" Skip forward... and arrive back home... "Honey - I'm home" "Mwuh" "My mum made me collect some of my old bass gear" "Oh! - What?" "Not much - just two basses, an amp and about 300 Vinyl LPs" Silence - Wife exits stage left. "OK - I'll sell them!" So here is the first. My third ever bass... An all original July 1892 built Westone Thunder 1A, from the Matsumoku factory. It's in very good condition for a thirty year old bird - a few minor nicks but absolutely nothing to see without looking hard and definitely nothing that affects the playablilty. All the electrics work perfectly - no scratchy pots or switches. There's some tarnishing to the knobs and bridge, but that's just mojo. The frets and fretboard are in excellent condition and have just had a full polish. It plays perfectly - currently set up at 2mm at the 12th and not a buzz to be heard - even with roundwound rotos on it. All the tuners work perfectly. I'm pretty confident that you'll not find a better example of this iconic 80'sana. No case, but it does come in the box my second Thunder 1A was delivered in, so you get a vintage FCN guitar box for free! £160 shipped in the UK. Shipping to europe OK, but at a supplement.
