LLCoolA Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) Hello all, I'm looking to reduce my freight bill on an upcoming move to the US and have decided to part with my '00 Warwick FNA Jazzman (4 String), it's been played infrequently for the last 6 years and has been acting more as a bit of wall art than a musical instrument recently. It is one of the most versatile basses I've played and can be easily contorted into fitting a huge amount of sounds through various setups; I remember buying this bass and it was down to this one and a fairly standard Stingray - on comparison this bass won hands down in terms of fullness of sound, versatiliy and looks. The bass has a beautifully flamed maple top, swamp ash body and Ovangkol neck. the link to the full spec is here ... http://www.warwick.d...php?katID=14434.. be warned, it's on the heavy side of chuckable. The bass is wholly original and has been kept in very good condition. There is a 2mm scratch on the headstock and some 'fingernail dimples' underneath the strings due to some over-enthusiastic slap and there is a slight dirt shade from where the wrist sits through to the top of the pickups. The dirt shade is very light and is something that I can remove on request however I actually think the bass looks even better with a slightly 'lived in' look to juxtapose the fairly bright flamed maple. All of the gold hardware is in pristine condition and the bass still sounds splendid. The bass will be sold with a Levys wide suede strap with locking pins and a soft but incredibly durable rockbag (the original one with a lot of protection, not the shoddy new ones). I'm open to hearing offers on this bass as I really need to give it a new home before April, please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for reading, A http://i734.photobuc...zps8ef6d17b.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zpsed685091.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zps1f0c016a.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zpsd3480242.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zpsd16c878b.jpg http://i734.photobuc...zps4a92f97d.jpg Edited February 22, 2013 by LLCoolA
Ghost Rider Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 (edited) You have to state a price mate Nice Bass by the Way Edited February 19, 2013 by Ghost Rider
warwickhunt Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 As well as price, knowing where you are in the UK will help.
Jack Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013
I thought '00' was the price...
I'll take two.
wally8 Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Depending on price and location, i would be v interested in this bass. where are you LL?
wally8 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Why would you advertise a bass and then disappear the same day.
karlfer Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 And not deal with the 5 comments/questions that came up whilst you were still online on the forum
wally8 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 He was last on yesturday. Surely you would check the thread, if you want to sell it that is.
karlfer Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013
Maybe his notifications aren't working?
Maybe he waits for the postie to bring his mail in with his breakfast tray
He was last on yesturday. Surely you would check the thread, if you want to sell it that is.
Exactly
Hutton Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 It may be that he doesn't want to post a price and is chancing his arm hoping to get offers.
It does seem odd and it would be a way of avoiding having to follow forum rules.
topo morto Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I never check my threads on this, or any forum; I wait for those 1922Horseburger replied to Rat cage for sale or Reply to thread 'Just bit my drummer's leg' emails. So if he was expecting notifications and not getting them...? Or maybe he just doesn't know how fast we gather here when we smell blood!
Guest Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 The thread should be removed tbh. Dude has had long enough already.
warwickhunt Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 To be fair the guy hasn't logged on for days but then he has had 3 days to sort it out and put a price on... if it is reported it's the Mods decision to make.
MarkusWarwick Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 He replied a few days back to a pm from me. Hes after about £800
LLCoolA Posted February 22, 2013 Author Posted February 22, 2013 Guys, Firstly, huge apologies for my absence. It was not my intention to not follow forum rules and leave you in the lurch. I've been manically trying to balance my 14 hour days, arranging a move to New York and an incredibly needy group of friends. I'm ideally looking for £800 but open to offers dependant on ease of pickup/delivery etc. I'm not 'fishing' for offers but as this is the first time I've used a forum to sell equipment have very little idea of the process. I'm on my mobile at the moment but will update posts with pics this afternoon. Apologies again, A
warwickhunt Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Apology accepted... three times! Time might be tight but it will pay dividends to put a pic up, if nothing else it'll save you having to PM folk the pictures every time they ask.
LLCoolA Posted February 22, 2013 Author Posted February 22, 2013 Thanks Warwickhunt. I'll get the pics on asap.
Guest Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 Could you add your location with the pics then we know where you are for a possible collection. Cheers.
LLCoolA Posted February 22, 2013 Author Posted February 22, 2013 I'm well aware that I could be bordering on being the most despised newbie to this forum in its short but illustrious history however I am really struggling figuring out how to post pics onto this thread. Can anyone help? Apologies in advance. Re the location question...I'm in Woodford in Essex (on the London/Essex border), about 15 mins from junction 26 of the M5 or the end of the Central Line (London Underground). I'm also down in South East Devon a fair amount of time if that helps at all.
