On that gig (2011) it had La Bella black nylon strings on.

As you can hear the bass has a very clear, direct and punchy sound.
The signal was just our of my Eden WT-550 into the mixer.
No postproduction!
What you hear is what you get.

Beautiful guitar. I was trying to value my own 66 Candy Apple Red Jazz - and this helps...

It looks like a good investment for someone.

Played exactly this particular bass a few days ago. Wonderful ! No issues !

This should find a good home !

Free bump from me for a wonderful bass and a great seller ! Good luck !

If the pickups are '67 then I guess that means it couldn't have been completed until 1967. Wouldn't that mean its actually a '67 bass rather than a '66?

I think by '67 the Jazz had the blocks and I guess that's why a dot n bound Jazz is commonly referred to as a '66. And this is, probably, another example of how Fender had so many differently date components lying around.

Looks great! GLWS.

This just begs the question why would anybody sell such a gorgeous bass - truly one of the nicest I've ever seen on Basschat. If I wasn't selling my long-scales, I'd just sell the car and buy this. Beautiful bass, great playing - good luck!

Sure,
if you look at it like this you can name it a '67, but all the (to me important) rest is typical '66.
But that's why I mentioned the '67 Pickups!
Thank's for all the nice comments!

Dot and bound is the sexiest of all Fender necks!

'Couldn't agree more - if I wasn't giving up on long-scale I'd have done something stupid and bought this the day it appeared (given the recent quiet though, I suspect the bass may now be sold?)
