Stance Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Hy guys, I´ve got a guy trying to trade the 1983 Jazz Bass I´m selling here for a 1993 Fender Precision Bass Plus (AKA boner bass ). The basses are in similar condition and both have their OHSCases He wants to trade one for the other, but I reckon my Jazz is worth a bit more that his Fender. Can you help me out? Thanks! Quote

Now normally there are a million people on basschat who could give you better advice than me; but in this case I might just be able to help, because I've got a bit of a thing about the Precision Plus! From watching the market over the last few months this is what I can tell you:- One sold on ebay towards the end of last year, in near immaculate condition (apparently), for about £620. One sold on ebay at the beginning of this year, rather tatty, and in need of repainting for £470. I actually bought that one! One is on ebay at the moment. Didn't sell for £800. Now up for £750. That's all I can tell you, from watching the market, - hope it helps. Precision Plus's are relatively rare, as they were only made for a couple of years, and are very lovely IMHO.
