For sale. Vigier Passion 3 5 string, recently took it in a trade.

Bass is in excellent condition and comes with Hiscox case. No idea of the year, but its more or less mint.

Photos don't do it justice. Marks seen in photos are just shadows, bass is mint.

Price £1100 inc P&P

No it's a passion III from 1999.
The fingerboard is Phenolwood, it's like ebony but in moar reactif!
The body is Maple and Aulne combined
Last Neck-Thru version with Benedetti.
1 tone, 1 EQ, 1 balance and a 3-position switch.
The neck dive is comparable to Warrior usa bass, "fast and easy neck"..
3,2~3,4kg .

Cut thru the mix really perfectly, some metal player use them. The necrophagist bassist have the same version with the same setting.

It's the perfect weapon for the percussives techniques like tapping, slapping, and fast playing.

Would buy this in an instant, but for £1200, I would expect SOME info??
[/quote]

TBH I was struggling for info myself. I got this from knoxz, so I presume the info he's supplied above is correct

Thanks guys...Definitely a series 3 then?...... tried a new passion at Bass Direct a couple of years ago and it[mostly] sounded like every other modern bass, nothing like the series 1[or maybe a series 2] I owned many years back - shades of Alembic & Kubicki basses if my memory serves!.....Now that's the sound I want..

The string spacing looks rather pleasant on this, what is the spacing exactly?

Hope you don't mind, not sure if you saw my original question, but I would be interested to know the answer if possible. :)

Hi, sorry I got side tracked by loads of stuff last night and forgot, I'll do it tonight as soon as I get home from work.

The string spacing at the bridge is 18mm, but I believe it's adjustable. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. :)

No problem at all, if you know whether the bridge goes down to 16.5mm, let me know as I have the cash ready and waiting. :)

It was love at first sight at the London Bass Guitar Show this weekend so I will have to pass on this unfortunately. Good luck with the sale though, here's a free bump. :-)
