Bigjas Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Just thought you might like to see the difference a few hours and a roll of new tolex can make to a very tired looking cab. I bought it off a fellow BC'er and just felt compelled to get it looking half decent again. Its a great sounding cab, with plenty of headroom, but its very heavy at nearly 60kgs. I stripped the old tolex off, covered it in new Marshall Elephant grain tolex, painted the front grill and generally gave it a good clean inside and out. As I bought it............... [attachment=128468:IMG_0840.JPG] [attachment=128470:IMG_0845.JPG] [attachment=128472:IMG_0847.JPG] It had no feet, and had been dragged around a bit, wearing out the tolex on the underside completely [attachment=128475:IMG_0896.JPG] and the finished cab........... [attachment=128477:IMG_0908.JPG] [attachment=128479:IMG_0914.JPG] [attachment=128480:IMG_0915.JPG] It was very satisfying refurbishing this great cab. Jas Quote
3below Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Great job, these cabs are built to last from high quality materials. Will last another lifetime now. Quote
