Chris Horton
would it be faie to say that you are a status and lakland fan ??
BigBeatNut
would it be faie to say that you are a status and lakland fan ??
Simple answer : yes Only slightly more complicated anwser: I love the versatility of the J/MM pickup config, hence the 55-02s and 55-94. Sandbergs and Clovers with the same config (or P/MM) would also work for me but are much less common. The Statuses have always just happened along at the right time. The eclipse was the first fiver, the S1 was a natural follow-on as the first fretless, Shark came along at a very reasonable price for a backup 5, etc.
BigBeatNut
The black Lakland <3
That's my favourite, sound and looks. Only disappointed in that I couldn't easily lay hands on an unlined 55-02 or 55-94.

RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
Is the Rob Allen deep 5 good for metal? Nice bass
BigBeatNut
I'm pondering getting stuff done to the shark. Lovely to play but the pickup/pre combos doesn't really suit me. Thinking getting someone to install a P+MM combo (MM splittable as per Lakland (3 way) or Clover (4 way)) and a U-retro deluxe.
