bassintheface Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 (edited) Ok, here is my early 90's Squier Silver Series Jazz. Sale only - I've a 1973/74 beautiful Fender Jazz sat in my house that I need to pay for!! I've known this bass since I was 16 - that's 15 years - the singer in my function band bought it when he was about 13 in 1994. I used to use it years ago as a spare, It then got sold to another local bass playing mate of mine a few years back, then I finally bought it from him last year. It's got an awesome neck, everything is original as far as I know. It sounds great and is currently strung with 'Jamerson' La Bella flats. It's really light and very very comfortable to play. It'll come with a gig bag - I'd rather collection - Don't like posting guitars really!. NO LONGER FOR SALE. KEEPING IT AS A SPARE FOR NOW. It'll also come with a gig bag. There are a fair few 'battle' scars on it, there's a bit of worn paint on the top rear shoulder - a bit 'Jaco' style..... gjones Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I paid £250 for my Silver Squire Jazz about 3 years ago but I had played a friends and really liked the sound of the pickups - which have more bottom end than a average Jazz - so was prepared to pay that amount. I recommend you add a few more pictures and maybe a soundfile, of you playing the bass, as these basses are quite rare and most people have not heard or played one before and don't know how good they are.
bassintheface Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 Thanks for the message. It does have a decent amount of bottom, but still sounds like a Jazz should. The neck is wonderful too. I am going to add a few more pics asap - just had a mad busy few days sorting a nursery for the imminent arrival of baby nr 2! Cheers.
bassintheface Posted March 6, 2013 Author Posted March 6, 2013 Just remembered about this vid - it's quite an old one with my mate Ben playing the Squier bass - albeit without a scratchplate. He used the bass on the recording of this too. http://youtu.be/Cxb12svzsLg
