niceguyhomer
First - my 2 band Ray (couple of years old) ...and this lovely, extremely versatile Sterling. It has a Nordstrand pup. ...a lovely back... ...and a matcking headstock.. Sorry I had to split the thread, it wouldn't let me post it all in one lump. lukeward2004
Al, I know some folk round these parts take the biscuit about the amount of basses you have owned, but I think its healthy. Im glad you finally have two basses you are happy with, and at the end of the day, thats main thing. Let us know when you are venturing Daaahn Saaaahhf next mate, we need to go for a beer and catch up!

Fantastic basses, mate I just wish I got to see the JO5's before they went. But the 2 you have now are stunning, that Nordstand in the Sterling is a bit hot!!! acidbass
Lovely selection of basses Homer! I remember most of those floating around the forums over the years - glad you've found your two ideal basses now, I particularly love your Sterling! Rayman
Ha, wicked, every one of them except the Status of course, I didn't like to tell you at the time in Colne when me and Dr Dave had a look at it, but I thought it sucked too, I'm not a fan. Top quality basses one and all, and I've played quite a few of them. I wish I still had the Marcus, I miss that a lot. The current MMs look fantastic, and I know how awesome that Nordstrand sounds. Wouldn't mind a go on your ray to see how it compares to mine.

The Nordstrand is a beast alright giving the Sterling a much higher output than the Ray and the range of tones is immense. Definitely a worthy upgrade IMHO. STU-SBL
At least you know what you like now Alan...... you've had a productive couple of years Anyone who has taken the Michael has done it either in a friendly manner or they're jealous You've been able to try each bass out, in a gigging situation, rather than have it sitting at home for 6 moths before you realise it just doesn't work for you. I'd love to post up all the basses I've had over the years - but I can't remember
Paul_C
a quick tot-up of all the basses I can remember owning comes to 55, and I'm almost certain that I've forgotten some..
Scorchin
A remarkable collection. For me the last two are the ones i'd like to grab off you I'm just starting out on bass with my *coughs* Fender Squire P-Bass. Been playing 1 year come beginning of September. Who knows, I might end up running rings around my bank account and have major GAS attack like yourself one day.
Muppet
Great looking pair there. I think your photography ain't too shabby either - you certainly know how to take great photos of basses! Steve

You can be sure it´s really porn with Alan´s photos. Good thing Rays are so prohibitively expensive (to me, anyway) or else I´d have another GAS attack. P. S. Alan - don´t you ever wish you still had a P? You had some stunningly nice examples, and I for one am addicted to them...

ped
I fancy a sterling, too - they are very easy on the eye! Great collection homer - I don't know why it wouldn't let you do everything as one post - if you like I can probably join them all together. Chers matey, keep it real up in Preston!
