stingrayPete1977 Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 (edited) OK I love this bass as I pretty much built it! but it has no B string and I am saving up for a double bass Affinity Squier Jazz bass but with- Bartolini pickups EBS preamp hidden behind control plate. Badass II bridge. Jack socket drilled into body to allow original plate to be used for Volume, Treble, Bass, PU Blend controls. Genuine 3 ply B/W/B Fender pickguard. Fret edges dressed in neatly, no sharp edges here. Small Affinity range tuners replaced with full size open tuners, hold in tune perfectly. Pikey eBay Fender logo that is actually green up close Really light weight bass for anyone with a bad back but with a massive sound and playability to equal basses of much more value, I have never played a genuine Fender Jazz that has come even close to this bass! Cost to build another would be well over £500, I am looking for £250 ( the bridge, pickups and preamp are worth most of that IMO) some soft dents etc, this was gigged most weekends for about 4 years. Collection from Stafford area preffered Last price drop, I'd rather keep it or sell it in parts than for less than £250. Edited March 22, 2013 by stingrayPete1977
EBS_freak Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Have to say, this is one mean machine. Plays like a beaut and sounds absolutely fantastic. Defo some mojo in this beast.
stingrayPete1977 Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) Cheers dude I know it's a cliche but it really does blow must genuine fenders away, as you know Edited March 1, 2013 by stingrayPete1977
stingrayPete1977 Posted March 3, 2013 Author Posted March 3, 2013 Absolutely no love for a killer jazz bass for £300!?
stingrayPete1977 Posted March 7, 2013 Author Posted March 7, 2013 This would be a killer spare bass or main bass for anyone that plays 4 strings as their main instrument (not me anymore ) I will leave it up for a couple more weeks just incase, I could do with some funds for DB lessons
stingrayPete1977 Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Another cheeky bump for this awesome bass, last few bumps before withdrawing
stingrayPete1977 Posted March 18, 2013 Author Posted March 18, 2013 Bumped for new price and possible trade option, Thanks
stingrayPete1977 Posted March 18, 2013 Author Posted March 18, 2013 No I don't think so, plays like butter as they say! The body has a few small dents, the squier bodies like this are light but quite soft I think.
stingrayPete1977 Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 (edited) Quick bump as the snow has thwarted the basschatter due to view it tomorrow, a final price drop to go with it but its the last one and a firm one, check the price of a leo quan badassII, pair of Barts and an ebs active preamp before trying to offer me less Edited March 22, 2013 by stingrayPete1977
