Warwick Quad VI

Hey,

I just bought a Warwick Quad VI along with a Warwick 600W 4x10inch speaker cabinet with horn.
The Quad VI has a headphones input, and when I try use the headphones (while the speaker is plugged in), the headphones don't work, and the speaker keeps working.
I am wondering if starting the Quad VI without plugging it in to the speaker (so I can use headphones instead) will damage it? (I have heard it's not good for amps)

The Warwick amp is solid state (transistor) amplifier so running it without speakers will not harm it. It's largely only amps with a valve output stage that can be harmed by not connecting speakers..
