Walker
I have a rack based rig – Line6 wireless into an Ampeg SVT 4 Pro. The amp has a GEQ that can be operated by a foot switch, I use this to tweak the EQ when I switch over to EUB for a couple of numbers. I love the amp tone and don’t want to change the character at all. The thing is, I need a couple more options. For half of our set, I drop the mids and for the other half I boost a bit. For both of these settings, I also want a clean boost for intros and solos. I have a programmable VT Bass pedal, but that coloursthings too much for my liking. If I put a programmable EQ pedal between by instrument and my amp, is that the correct place for it? So I’m EQing the signal going into the amp rather than inserting between pre and power stages? I’m looking at the Source Audio EQ pedal. Cheers for any advice, Chris
Jack
A pedal usually goes there yes but a rack eq would either go between pre and power amps or in the effects loop.
