Dread Bass Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I thought about buying one of the P bass kits but decided against it. Let me know how you get on if you take the plunge. Quote
Myke Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Also was thinking about trying one sometime soon Please share if you do Quote
stoker Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Same here. Always fancied a headless when I was younger. Quote
JMM Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Headless basses are great! They never seem to go out of tune (even when playing in a freezing garage) and they fit so much easier in cars, due to fitting in a regular electric guitar gigbag. You can pick up a Hohner Jack fairly cheap though, so you're mainly doing this for the experience of actually building a bass. Quote
DarkHeart Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I nearly bought one of these so i would be interested in the outcome Quote
CalJock Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I did a Pbass one just after Christmas, I found it well satisfying, the only extra thing did was change out the stock pickups, it's a really nice instrument. I'm a big fan of these kits and am definitely gonna do another one. To surmise - it's super fun, do it! Quote
nelville Posted April 14, 2013 Author Posted April 14, 2013 Thanks for that. Was your kit from the same company in Ireland? What pickups would you recommend for the headless version? Quote
AngelLaHash Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) I too would be interested how it goes if you do it. <wish you best of luck if you do> (I do'avoid eBay Ireland myself, think I lost a lot of money one time, to the point thinking of going over there) Edited April 18, 2013 by AngelLaHash Quote
