I've noticed a lot of people buying or starting the double bass or learning the art of the bow... So I thought it would be a good idea to have people share their recommendations between books that helped them or not helped them...

If you could list them like this below...
Title - Duncan McTier Daily Exercises
Comment - Has helped me facilitate solid left hand and right hand technique... Which within a few sessions I saw tremendous confidence with shifting etc...
Style - Classical/Mechanics of the Double bass...
Av price - £6

For people who haven't heard of Duncan's talents heres a link to Spotify... What a delight he is to listen too... Bass playing at its finest....

Will add more when I have time but at the moment this is my first recommendation...

Neil Tarlton - The Essentials of Sevcik.

Enough bowing exercises to keep you going for years and good revision for when you think you can do it all (I can't, I'm still in the early stages). His scales book is good as well.
