tonybassplayer Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Off to see the above tribute tomorrow in Blackpool and looking forward to it. Anyone see them before ?? Quote
Jazzneck Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 A few years ago - guitarist took the p*ss out of Peter Green's "Oh Well!" The soundman hadn't got a clue. I lasted through 4 songs and I was out of there with a fair few other disappointed punters - thank the Lord I was given a free ticket..... However, only my own humble opinion as I not only saw the Original FM a few times but was honoured to play a support to them in 1968. Quote
tonybassplayer Posted March 5, 2013 Author Posted March 5, 2013 Apparently this is the 35th anniversary tour of "Rumours" coming out so guess it won't include too much Peter Green stuff but hope they do a few. Quote
Cosmo Valdemar Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Slightly OT but many moons ago I was the bass player in a Pantera-style metal band. The guitarist knew someone who worked at the local paper who agreed to put us in the gig listings complete with a picture. Well, the picture was printed as promised - a fine shot of 4 long-haired musical hoodlums - but the caption underneath stated we were called Rumours of Fleetwood Mac (who were playing elsewhere). My mum was so proud she cut it out and put it on the fridge. Quote
Pete Academy Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Nearly Dan have shared a double bill with them a few times. They are excellent. Quote

lazzer Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 My taxi driver today, told me he'd seen 'em in York recently & really enjoyed it...... Quote
tonybassplayer Posted March 7, 2013 Author Posted March 7, 2013 Well they were brilliant and very well recommended. Full rumours album, loads of other hits and a full bluesy Peter Green set. Quote
Telebass Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 Went to see them a while back to get some tips, as we were putting our own FM tribute together at the time. Very good. Not really a look-alike tribute, just a musical tribute, and all the better for that, IMHO... Quote
