JapanAxe Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 I like the sound and feel of the strings that came fitted to my Sandberg, and would like to stick with them. Unfortunately it seems it's not that easy to get them in the UK. Thomann supply them, but their minimum order kinda kills the price! Somebody started a similar thread on Talkbass last year - any comments, do we think they're right? http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f16/what-strings-come-stock-sandbergs-842466/ Quote
EssentialTension Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Long discussion on who makes which strings here but I don't think Sandberg got a mention. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/171152-who-makes-which-strings Quote

That's not correct because the string companies will be making whatever is ordered from them. So, in this example, Sandberg could be using GHS without them strictly being Super Steels. Quote

JapanAxe Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 ER... think I might just try some different makes and see how I get on. I've been using Elites 45-gauge, but the Sandberg comes with 40s which are a bit slicker. Quote
