Silvia Bluejay Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Well, at the very least what I did this year, only with a little more space! If Ped and Kiwi choose to get a small stand for us, I imagine they'll let us know how they plan to use it, and I'll be there unless told otherwise. Quote

Bonin-in-the boneyard Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013
Did it arrive?
Yes Very nice bass for the money just needed a set up & new strings Quote
sblueplanet Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Still waiting for Sterling by Musicman to produce a lefty version of the SB14. Anyone know if they plan to do so? I emailed them a while back but got no response. Quote
LeftyJ Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I wouldn't bet on it. And for that money, I would personally rather look for a used USA-made EBMM Sterling. They don't come by very often, but used prices for MM's in the UK are incredible at the moment. I would really dig a lefty version of the new SUB line! A Ray4 in black with maple board... Mmmmm! Interestingly, although they're based on the Stingray, they have the narrower 38 mm nut width of the Sterling! Quote
sblueplanet Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 I have a black Ray34 but I've had an eye on the SUB models too. Sterling by Musicman have finally replied to me saying that a lefty SB14 is unlikely but they are considering a lefty Ray35. If so, I hope its in all maple. Quote
DorsetBlue Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 I am not really sure how the MM bass range works but there is a L/H, Metallic Blue, Birdseye Maple neck, 4 String Sterling Stingray in my local music shop for £999. Seemed rather expensive to me but as I said, I do not understand the MM range. Quote
sblueplanet Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 @DorsetBlue Sterling by Musicman range are made in Indonesia. However, the basses are checked over in the States before being shipped. Great quality but cheaper due to lower labour costs etc. Quote
DorsetBlue Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Ah, that makes sense. But £999 for a second hand Indo bass is expensive I assume? Quote
rogerstodge Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 A beautiful thing..... http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=181144410091&globalID=EBAY-GB Quote
Dread Bass Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 ACG graft bass. As seen on Facebook. It's amazing!! Pics and review to follow. Quote
glefty Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 EBMM Sterling is a USA made, smaller bodied, jazz necked Stingray with 22 frets & the 3 way switch for parallel, series & single coil configurations. Sterling by Musicman is their Indonesian made budget line, akin to the old SUB series but better than their OLP licenced series. with the Stingray copy called the Ray 34 & the EBMM Sterling copy called the S14. To make matters worse, they are reintroducing the SUB line too. Basically, Sterling Ball has a REAL love affair with his name & seems to find somewhere to slap it on anything that MM make....BTW, I have a lefty MM Sterling & it's gorgeous, a flat out keeper. sblueplanet Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 I have a black Ray34 but would prefer the smaller SB14 model but they don't make a lefty model. Quote
icastle Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013 Folks, I have removed two posts from this thread tonight containing offers to sell instruments. We have provided a dedicated LH Basses For Sale area within the Marketplace, please use it. Quote
icastle Posted June 17, 2013 Author Posted June 17, 2013
Well, wasn't me guv'nor.
Nope I'm not going to embarrass those that did but suffice it to say that although this is a dedicated thread, it is still subject to exactly the same T&Cs as any other thread on the site. Dread Bass Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Eastwood guitars not only state which of their guitars and basses are Left handed you can click a picture to see a lefty one. They are not all fininshed in black or sunburst either. They are not to my tastes but good to see. Quote
Silvia Bluejay Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Nearly all Warwick models and nearly all Overwater models are available left-handed, with no surcharge in Warwick's case. And the expensive version of the cheap Höfner in my avatar is of course the original lefty model to end 'em all Quote
Dread Bass Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 That's a good price. I can't justify any more basses until I get replace my amp Quote
