Fender Precision lyte

Recommended Posts

I reckon it is a little overpriced in the market place but for anyone who's never played one of these I think they are fantastic, I have been playing mine again over the last few days and really had forgotten just how good it sounds and how well it plays.

I am not linked to the item for sale in any way!

Looks like a nice tidy one. I have one, light as a feather and possibly the finest neck I have played. Really skinny and shallow - rather like the Geddy Lee/Jaguar type necks (but with 22 frets - just counted them). Stock pups sounds great, albeit nothing much like a P.Bass, more Jazz-like, but I had to change the preamp on mine and ended up with a John East one which is immense.

I had a Precision Lyte Deluxe, 50th Anniversary edition, bought it mid-90's from Sound Control in Glasgow for £450.00 and sold it only 4 or 5 years ago for a tenner less...not a bad return for nearly 15 years worth of playing I thought!
