Cygnus x-1 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I have assembled a bitsa P for a friend, it's worked out pretty well, but the pickup is a cheap one and doesn't sound too good. Another friend has offered a choice of four used decent pickups that he has in a spares box, I am going to be fitting the four different pickups in the bass for the owner to choose ONE of the pickups for the bitsa, my question is; .....as I may have the pickups in and out more than once, is there an easy, neat and perfectly usable way of joining the two pickup wires to the wires coming from the pots? I was thinking of using a small connector block as I don't want to be soldering & unsoldering lots of times, is there a easier/ better way to connect the wires in the cavity? thanks for any information. gary mac Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 That would work ok or do yourself a favour contact Kiogon and get one of his hand built wiring kits, with high quality pots, cable and connector blocks for solder free connecting. I've done three or four p bass builds and used Kiogons kit, It's quality Quote
