Greggo
I put some cheapo a to d strings on my bass as a temporary measure and I notice that the pickups don't pick them very well. There are an other brand low b and e which sound louder. Its very noticeable on playing finger style the notes sound choked. Is this listing likely an issue with strings or the pickup? Geek99
Slight difference in gauge causing alignment issues on the neck?
steve-bbb
if they are cheap strings it could be the alloy they are made from
tommorichards
Could be as above. I once spent £5 on some bass strings, and they were pretty much dull and lifeless.
