fretmeister Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Some time today I will be taking delivery of a Genz Streamliner 900 and a Berg HD112 cab. They will be run with my pre-existing Genz Shuttle 9.2 and another Berg HD112. I haven't run a full split signal rig for a couple of years and I'm looking forward to it! My much modified Status (2 outputs) will be allowed it's full voice again! Photos to follow when it all arrives from the good people of Bass Direct. I am slightly aroused! Quote
mikeh Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Very nice, and will be a easier to move than 2 412's ;-) Quote
fretmeister Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 That it will!! I still miss those old Marshalls though. Wonderful things! Quote
niceguyhomer Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Be interested to hear what you think of the Streamliner. Enjoy Quote
fretmeister Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 It has arrived! about an hour and a half before I can unpack and give it a try! Quote
fretmeister Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013 1 head per cab. Sounding awesome. Thick B15 like tone from the Streamliner and crisp clean from the Shuttle. Bitchin' Quote
Bolo Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Wicked! That streamliner is a prettier head than the shuttle I must say. Quote
wateroftyne Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I'd love a shot of them Berg HD112's... Quote
IanA Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 The shuttle through those cabs is one of the best matches available Quote
fretmeister Posted March 19, 2013 Author Posted March 19, 2013
What a Genz slag! Love it
I am! I love them! I've even left it on for the blue glow while I eat dinner! Quote
tonybassplayer Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Puts my old Behringer head and single Mark Bass cab to shame :-( Quote
chris_b Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Looking good. When are you gigging with this rig? We need a review. Quote
fretmeister Posted March 23, 2013 Author Posted March 23, 2013 I did a small gig with just the Steamliner and a single cab this morning. (Yup - morning. With a school orchestra.) It was on a hollow stage so I had to back the bass EQ off a bit, but it sounded just how I wanted it to - thick and plummy. It particularly nailed McCartney's tone on 'With a little help from my friends' When playing in rock bands the Shuttle is more my thing and remains my favourite amp, but for an old school B15 sort of thing the Steamliner is superb. Very happy! Quote
