bertbass
I've used the inuke power amps. They work, do the job well and weigh next to nothing. Just as good as the Peavey IPR amps IMO. Watch the supposed power rating though. Oh, and the inukes don't light up the stage like the Peaveys.
Thanks for that Bert, I was looking at a NU3000... peak power 3000W @ 4ohms mono bridged. That's still around 2000W RMS or thereabouts... ...should be just about enough power, methinks?? And it would reduce the weight of my rack* by 9kg! *I don't mean my moobs. They're just fine, thanks. dincz
So do I take a chance on the Skoda of the amp world , or stick with the Battlestar Gallactica of the CS800
If Behringer have upped their game to the same degree as Skoda, then there's no reason not to go that way. My own experience of Behringer gear has been good. Most of it has been low power stuff like signal processors, small mixers etc, but I've been running one of their power amps (EPQ900) for a few months now without incident - admittedly not anywhere near full power. Time will tell. Edited March 27, 2013 by dincz
I'm sure Skoda's wheels would have fallen off (metaphorically just as they used to do literally) if VW hadn't stepped in. From what I've read about Behringer, their quality problems were a result of farming out production to China. Now that they've set up their own factory, things seem to have improved. bubinga5
ive always thought anyone you play with who has disapproval of the gear you use, is either not worth making music with, or is very immature
