VTypeV4 Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 Some lovely stuff there, I especially love those old Selmer T&Bs.. Quote
jensenmann Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Lovely. I used to play one of these long time ago. Here´s what I use now: Quote
Tonywhite985 Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Here is my Trace Elliot V4, by a long shot the best amp i've ever owned. 200 Watts of Window rattling power, an absolute monster of an amp paired up with a 4x10 and 1x15 4 KT88's 7 12ax7's 1 EM84- glows green which is very cool in my books. cheezus Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 Point-to-point Monster el Monarca 300W amp (custom made in Finland) with Matamp 4x10" + 1x18" cabs. Awesome set of gear. Really really versatile amp. Sound City B100W mk3 (1969) with Aurinnko))) 2x15" cab. Awesome set as well. Home practice rig: Echolette B200 + some 70's Kustom 1x15" cab. Nice retro-set. Quote

Kiwi Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 It's been a while since I've contributed so... Trace V8 Museum piece Burman Pro4000HD (I have two, the other is more road rashed) Burman Pro501 (ex Lindisfarne) And some previous kit: Mesa Strategy 400 (unfortunately no decent pics of the Bass 400+ I had for a while) A cheap (but OK) Mesia, no not a Mesa, a Mesia Quote
The Bass Doc Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 (edited) OK it's ugly and heavy but sounds superb. My Wallace AC5075XT:- Built around 1969. 2 x KT88s. In the early 70s when I was young and fit I used to gig a stereo wired bass into two AC100XTs (a lot bigger and heavier!) plus two Burman 4x12s. Edited February 10, 2014 by The Bass Doc Quote

davedave Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Here are mine. I`ve developed a little bit of a fetish for valve amps over the last few years. We eat alot of smart price beans at my house. davedave Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 It's a great amp. It might be going to a new home this Sunday. If not, it should be in the classifieds on here soon. Quote
JamesBass Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 OH MY GOD! That Sound City 100 is stunning! Bet it sounds even better than it looks too?! Must be a back breaker though! Quote
Tweedledum Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 It sounds very good indeed. Very low noise (the 120 Mark 4 I had awhile ago was a noise monster). I don't know the exact weight. A little over 20 kg I presume. Not too bad. Quote
tayste_2000 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Here's mine as it stands today, oddly similar to davedave Quote
The noise in them can be sorted, its a combination of old caps, degrading resistors and dirty earth connections. Sorted about a dozen now. Quote
