PURPOLARIS
My RH450 has no output coming from the speaker out. It powers up and you can clearly see input when playing. I'm thinking of opening it up and looking for the obvious loose connections etc. Any ideas what else to look for? I'm not the best at electronics so it would have to be a simple soldering job for me otherwise it's off to the amp tech.
wateroftyne
Have you done a factory reset? Hold down all 3 preset buttons when you switch the amp on. You never know....
gerryc
Before you open it are you sure the speaker lead and cab are alright?
PURPOLARIS
Lead was the first thing I checked, the cab is working fine. I'll have a go at the factory reset, hopefully it's a simple as that.
charic
Possible silly one, have you checked yout using the right speakon socket?
PURPOLARIS
It's only got one speakon/quarter inch connection. It's now working which is even more of a worry. I'm wondering if it was in protection mode for some reason and I didn't notice it.
mcnach
doesn't the display change in some way when it goes into protection mode? It's been a long time I haven't read the manual (3 years ago, when I bought mine!), but I seem to have that impression from somewhere. The headphone output will mute the speaker out if used. Have you fiddled with it? Do you use it at all? Maybe it's malfunctioning making contact when there is no plug? Just another of a million possibilities, I'm afraid... hmmm. Did you try it with headphones while it was malfunctioning?
PURPOLARIS
I didn't try the headphones but it's something to look at it if happens again.
