paulmcnamara
There's a very reasonable 63 Fender Precision going for £2700 at The Bass Gallery..... won't be around for long at that price even if it is a refin. Cheers, Paul. (ps sale has nothing to do with me)
Clarky
Its got a few tweaks (refin, rewound pickup, 1966 pot etc) but its very nice indeed. It does seem a great price Paul Here's link for those who want a nosey http://www.thebassgallery.com/product_details.cfm?ID=2511&type=Bass%20Guitar Not mine either!!! Dingus
That is a good price for sure . Just had a look at the New Arrivals page on The Bass Gallery website and they have got some pretty stunning stuff in at the moment , including an all original 1964 Jazz Bass , a '61 and a '65 Precision and a 1982 Musicman Stingray identical to my old one . If I was rich I would buy them all .
EssentialTension
Looks very nice, I like that colour.

Clarky
I am guessing the 82 Ray is the one that's for sale on BC by Squib http://basschat.co.uk/topic/197767-pre-eb-musicman-stingray/page__p__1950520#entry1950520 Very nice it is too, surprised noone's bitten

Looking at these basses has made me come over all vintage all of a sudden . Maybe I could scuff up my nice shiny new basses and pretend . Legion
I was watching this on ebay but forgot to bid - it went for roughly £1500 so I was kicking myself

molan
I'm struggling a little to see how a '63 refin with non original pots is a bargain at £2,700? I've seen more original pre CBS P's sell for less than this

I have also seen some nice Stingrays in the States recently , but the thing that is holding me back is that the rear pickup on my Reflex does the Stingray thing with aplomb , albeit with a slightly more focused sound than a 'Ray . The sensible part of my brain is telling me to spend my money on something more different to what I already have . I still want a Stingray , though .
