stingrayPete1977
I must be in a minority here but I don't like shops like Argos selling basses. They are so often unplayable as they weren't set up properly and I'd much rather people bought from local music stores. Just my personal opinion.
I lusted after an encore from the age of eight because of the Argos book, since then my local store had relieved me of much more than £89 spent in Argos
discreet

You have to admit it's a pretty radical technique. And who decided it's a bass? Looks like a half-assed lute to me. Or possibly a canoe paddle.
TimR
That's online though, none in the laminated book of dreams! Which is probably why I become strangely aroused when I see a camping catalogue.

gjones
Badly. I used an olive woodstain that still looked brown. And then the wife suggested I used a thin acrylic paint wash over it. That worked, so after it dried I slathered the whole thing in Danish Oil, and voila. Comes off with my big sweaty paws all over it, and looks like it was done 20 years ago rather than 5 now. Lovely wear on it.
It looks very..........organic. RandomBass
The Argos catalogue... I remember spending way too long browsing through my mum's Marshall Ward catalogue as a teenager. And not in the music section (if there was one)
Heh, I was going for the splurgy fender wildwood finishes from their coronados and acoustics. The wood is utterly filthy underneath so it was never going to be flawless. As for argos catalogue lusting, I had a thing for a Marlin Sidewinder in sparkly purple from one, back when I was about 10.
